Day 1 - Flight
Depart for your flight to Johannesburg (excluded).
Day’s 2 to 5 - Cape Town
Arrive in magnificent Cape Town or the mother city as it is know. Pick up your hire
car from the airport and drive the 20 or so minutes to your luxury hotel on the
V&A Waterfront, The Portswood Hotel. Spend your next three days exploring Cape Town
and the surrounding area. Attractions in the city include Table Mountain, Robben
Island, Bokaap or the V&AWaterfront. Alternatively just relax in the sun on one
of the cities many beautiful beaches. Take a day to explore the stunning coastline
stopping the see the penguins at boulders beach, the historic Naval Town of Simonstown
and the dramatic Chapmans Peak drive ending at the Cape Point where the Indian and
Atlantic Oceans are meant to meet. You can perhaps partake in one of the very popular
township tours. Alternatively why not take in a round of golf at Steeneberg or Erinvale,
do some shopping at the V&A Waterfront, visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens,
exploring the leafy Constantia suburbs or lounging on the nearby beaches of Clifton
or Camps Bay.
Day’s 5 to 7 - Stellenbosch
Take a leisurely drive out to the Winelands region (about 1 hours drive) and the
historic town of Stellenbosch. You will be staying at D’Ouwe Werf which is the oldest
inn in South Africa and situated in the heart of Stellenbosch. Spend your next two
days taking in the sights and sounds of the Cape Winelands. Try the local wine on
a guided tour of some of the finest wine estates that South Africa has to offer
or enjoy some of the wonderful restaurants for which the winelands is famous.
Day 7 to 9 - Chobe National Park
An early rise and head to Cape Town Airport where you will drop off your hire car
and catch your flight to Johannesburg for your onward journey to Livingstone, in
Zambia and the home of Victoria Falls. You will be met at the airport and for an
amazing scenic adventure by road from Livingstone down the Zambezi Valley for approximately
an hour and a half to Chobe Game Lodge in the world famouos Chobe National Park.
Chobe Game Lodge offers a variety of activities both land based and river based
safaris. Chobe National Park contains the world's largest concentration of elephants
and offers the world's best game viewing by boat. A gentle cruise down the Chobe
River is truly a highlight, and the best way to view both the elephants and a host
of other game coming down to drink from the river's edge.
Day 9 to 11 - Savuti
After your morning game activity and breakfast you will be transferred to the Kasane
Airstrip your short flight bound for the Savuti on the far Western side of the Chobe
Game Reserve and Savuti Camp. This beautiful camp is situated in a grove of ancient
camel thorn trees on the banks of the Savute Channel. The game viewing offered by
Savute is an experience not to be missed, especially if you are visiting in the
summer months, after November's first rains when thousands of animals are drawn
to the area. Savute Safari Lodge's highlights are its concentrations of Lion and
Hyena, as well as its Leopard, Cheetah, Black-Backed Jackal and the many lone Elephant
bulls, usually seen frequenting their favourite watering holes. Spend the next 2
days participating in the activities on offer at the camp.
Days 9 to 13 - Okavango Delta
After your morning game activities and a relaxing breakfast you will be transferred
to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight from Savuti Safari Camp to Camp Okavango
in the magnificent Okavango Delta. Camp Moremi is situated on remote Nxaragha Island
in the heart of the Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round water wilderness experience.
Game activities include exploring the Okavango by mokoro and motor launches on wildlife
and bird watching expeditions. Guided walking safaris on the islands of the Delta
afford an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water
wilderness. Spend the next 2 days participating in the activities on offer at the
camp from canoe trips, to game drives, walking, and boat cruises.
Day 14 - Flight Home
After a relaxing morning with more game activities you will be transferred to the
local airstrip for your short light aircraft flight to Maun Airport. From here you
will fly to Johannesburg where you will catch your international flight back home
