Mombo Camp
Mombo is located on Chiefs Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is
situated just off the north-western tip of Chiefs Island. Large concentrations of
wildlife occur right in front of the camp. It is not impossible to see up to twelve
different mammal species at one time from the comfort of your verandah! As a year-round
exclusive wildlife destination (especially for predators and leopard in particular),
Mombo has a record unequalled in Africa. Drives in open 4x4 vehicles explore the
savannah and floodplains where large concentrations of wildlife and birds abound.
Experienced guides will accompany you, ensuring that early morning and late afternoon
excursions are exciting, interesting and educational. The main camp accommodates
18 people in nine superb canvas walled rooms built above the ground and linked by
board walks. Little Mombo, which is next door, but run as a distinct camp has three
similarly appointed rooms sleeping just 6 people.
Mombo Camp is situated on a beautiful island in a remote corner of Botswana's world-renowned
Moremi Game Reserve. The concession on which the camp is located is blessed with
an unrivalled diversity of habitat types, from the marshes and floodplains of the
Delta, to acacia bushveld, savanna grasslands, and mopane forests.
