Trip Itinerary


Day 1 - Flight



Depart for your flight to Johannesburg (excluded).

Days 2 to 5 - Cape Town



Arrive in magnificent Cape Town or the mother city as it is know. Pick up your hire car from the airport and drive the 20 or so minutes to Kensington Place Luxury Boutique Hotel in a prime position with magnificent views overlooking the city Bowl. Spend your next three days exploring Cape Town and the surrounding area. Attractions in the city include Table Mountain, Robben Island, Bokaap or the V&A Waterfront. Alternatively just relax in the sun on one of the cities many beautiful beaches. Take a day to explore the stunning coastline stopping the see the penguins at boulders beach, the historic Naval Town of Simonstown and the dramatic Chapmans Peak drive ending at the Cape Point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans are meant to meet. You can perhaps partake in one of the very popular township tours. Alternatively why not take in a round of golf at Steenberg or Erinvale, do some shopping at the V&A Waterfront, visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, exploring the leafy Constantia suburbs or lounging on the nearby beaches of Clifton or Camps Bay.

Days 5 to 7 - Winelands



Take a leisurely drive out to the Winelands region (about 1 hours drive) to your hotel outside the historic town of Stellenbosch at River Manor Country House and Spa. Spend your next two days taking in the sights and sounds of the Cape Winelands. Try the local wine on a guided tour of some of the finest wine estates that South Africa has to offer or enjoy some of the wonderful restaurants for which the winelands is famous.

Day 7 to 9 - Livingstone



An early rise and head to Cape Town Airport where you will drop off your hire car and catch your flight to Johannesburg for your onward journey to Livingstone, the home of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park or Smoke that Thunders National Park and the famous Victoria Falls. You will be staying at SStanleys Safari Lodge where you can enjoy your next two days taking in the falls, enjoying boat cruises up the mighty Zambezi or for the more adventurous there is white water rafting or even bungee jumping!

Day 9 to 11 - Chobe National Park



After a leisurely breakfast you will be met at the Royal Livingstone and transferred for an amazing scenic adventure by road and boat through 3 countries (Zambia, Botswana and Namibia) - taking approximately an hour and a half to Impalila Island Camp. All the while you will be hosted and assisted through the immigration facilities. This is a fascinating opportunity to experience closely the marvel of the rivers, geographical mysteries and cultural heritage of this fascinating area. Arrival at Susuwe Camp is by boat where you will spend two nights on this pristine island. Susuwe Camp offers a variety of activities; a private boat cruise down the Chobe river to watch African wildlife, a river cruise up the Zambezi River, walks on the Islands, a cultural village visit, fishing or simply relaxing at a magic setting. Chobe National Park contains the world's largest concentration of elephants and offers the world's best game viewing by boat. A gentle cruise down the Chobe River is truly a highlight, and the best way to view both the elephants and a host of other game coming down to drink from the river's edge.

Days 11 to 13 - Kwando River



After breakfast and your morning activity you will be transferred by boat and vehicle to Impalila immigration and then onward to Impalila landing strip for a 60 minute light aircraft transfer to Susuwe Camp. Susuwe Island Lodge offers visitors the opportunity to experience closely a wild and untouched island of Africa. Situated in north-eastern Namibia, our island is in the remote Kwando River - a permanent water source which nourishes delicate ecosystems and sustains varied game and birdlife. Relaxation, privacy and comfort are paramount here. Susuwe Island Lodge is built to incorporate the riverine forest - the main complex has lofty canopy viewing decks overlooking endless savannahs, glistening lily-studded wetlands and ancient Kalahari woodlands, as well as a firepit, spacious lounge and dining areas, curio shop and small reference library. At Susuwe game drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles in the Bwabwata National Park. Game sightings in this cradle of rivers could include vast herds of roaming elephant and buffalo, lion, hippo, leopard, sable, roan, lechwe and puku for example. Night drives at Susuwe offer an even closer insight into the intrigue of the African bush.

Days 13 to 15 - Okavango Delta



After breakfast and your morning activity you will be transferred by boat, vehicle to Susuwe landing strip for onward transfer to Kwando Kwara Camp in the Kwara concession just above the Moremi Reserve. No trip to Botswana is complete without a visit to the Okavango Delta, the shimmering and unique watery jewel in the middle of the northern Kalahari Desert. The Kwando concession encompasses a wide diversity of habitats, ranging from the clear Delta waters with reed-lined lagoons and channels, to open grasslands, mopane woodlands and palm-fringed islands. Kwara Camp is situated on the edge of the permanent waters of the world renowned Okavango Delta and shares a common boundary with Moremi Game Reserve. Due to the unique location of Kwara Camp it is able to offer walks and game drives all year round. In addition, Kwara is in a 430,000 acre private concession enabling the game drives to operate both off road and at night. The ability to operate off road and at night gives guests the opportunity to observe many of the interesting nocturnal mammal species. These include leopard, lion, wild dog, hyena and smaller predators.

Day 15 - Flight Home



After a relaxing morning with more game activities you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your short light aircraft flight to Maun Airport. From here you will fly to Johannesburg where you will catch your international flight back home.
