Day 1 - Flight
Depart for your flight to Johannesburg (excluded).
Days 2 to 4 - Livingstone
Arrive Johannesburg and transfer to your flight to Livingstone, the home of the
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park or Smoke that Thunders National Park and the famous
Victoria Falls. You will be staying at the Toka Leya Camp where you can enjoy your next
two days taking in the falls, enjoying boat cruises up the mighty Zambezi or for
the more adventurous there is white water rafting or even bungee jumping!
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Livingstone Airstrip for your short
flight to the Kasane border post where you will clear customs for Botswana and then
re board your flight bound for Savuti Camp which is situated in an isolated part
of the Linyanti Concession between the Chobe and Okavango Delta. Famous for its
high game concentrations particularly in the dry winter season where regular sightings
of species such as roan and sable antelope, Southern Giraffe, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah
and wild dog are the norm. Spend the next 2 days participating in the activities
on offer at the camp.
After your morning game activities and a relaxing breakfast you will be transferred
to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight from Savuti Camp to Kwetsani Camp
in the magnificent Okavango Delta. Kwetsani is situated in a private concession
called the Jao Reserve which flanks the Moremi Game Reserve. Kwetsani offers superb
land and water based activities which depend on annual flood levels. Lion, Leopard,
Wild Dog, Cheetah, Tsessebe, and Red Lechwe are abundant at Kwetsani Camp. Spend
the next 2 days participating in the activities on offer at the camp from canoe
trips, to game drives, walking, fishing and boat cruises.
Day 8 to 9 - Johannesburg
After a relaxing morning with more game activities you will be transferred to the
local airstrip for your short light aircraft flight to Maun Airport. From here you
will fly to Johannesburg where you will overnight at the Airport Grand Hotel . The hotel is a short shuttle bus drive from OR Tambo International Airport,
Johannesburg so is conveniently situated for your connection to the Mozambique the
following day.
Days 9 to 14 - Benguerra Island
Spend the morning at your leisure in your hotel from where you will check in again
for your onward flight with Pelican Air to Vilanculos in Mozambique, the gateway
to the fabulous Bazaruto Archipelago. On arrival you will clear customs and then
transfer by light aircraft to Benguerra Island and the fantastic Benguerra Lodge.
Spend the next 5 nights involved in one of the many activities on offer at the lodge
from Dhow cruises, fishing, diving and snorkelling, island walks, sea kayaking and
many more.
Day 14 - Flight Home
Return to Vilanculos for your flight to Johannesburg where you will connect on for
your international flight back home (excluded).
