13 Day Ultimate Tour of Botswanna Itinerary
This luxury safari enables you to explore two different areas of the Okavango Delta in style! The game viewing is superb throughout the year and offer a balance of land based and water based activities. This safari includes beach time at the exclusive North Island in the Seychelles.
Day 1
Arrive Maun, you will be met by a Mahlatini representative who will assist you to your light aircraft aircraft transfer to the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. Mombo Camp is situated on Mombo Island, adjoining the northern tip of Chief's Island. The island is surrounded by open floodplains and the camp itself is largely built in and around the shade of some large Mangosteen, Ebony and Fig trees - overlooking a wonderful floodplain teeming with game. Mombo Camp (luxury tented) for a 3 night stay.
Days 2-3
The next two days are spent exploring the Delta.The camp offers abundant big game viewing, arguably the best in Botswana. The highlight is the concentration of plains game and all the predators - including the big cats. Lion sightings are particularly good. Guests can also see Leopard, large herds of Buffalo, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Elephant, Hyaena, Giraffe, Wildebeest and Zebra. Black and White Rhino have been reintroduced with outstanding success to the area (albeit most are further away from camp), thanks to the Botswana Rhino Reintroduction Programme
Day 4
Transfer by light aircraft from Mombo to Baines Camp for a 3 night stay. The camp is situated in a private concession adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. This exclusive lodge is named after the famed nineteenth century explorer and artist, Thomas Baines. The main area features an oversize deck for outdoor dining and views over the permanent water of the lagoon, as well as a swimming pool.
Days 5-6
The next two days are spent explore the concession. Game viewing here is superb and offers a variety of land and water based activities as well as night drives. The permanent waters around the camp are best explored by mokoro (dug out canoe).
Day 7
Transfer by light aircraft from Baines Camp to Maun in time for the connection to Johannesburg. Overnight at the Westcliffe.
Day 8
Transfer to the airport for a scheduled flight to the Seychelles. Helicopter transfer to North Island for a 5 night stay.
Days 8-12
4 days of activities including diving, snokelling or just relax and enjoy the beach.
Day 13
Helicopter transfer to Mahe for international flight connections.

The region offers a wide variety of places to stay ranging from formal hotels to informal holiday flats, game lodges and reserves, guesthouses etc. There is usually something to suit everyone’s budget!
