Mombo Camp is the pinnacle of luxury camps – some say the best on offer in Africa. To me it was everything I had expected, the views over the floodplains are amazing and the camp’s decor is stylish yet still retains an African feel. The guides have an excellent knowledge of the area and the food is outstanding. Every aspect about Mombo is exceptional. As soon as you arrive in camp you will feel like you are in true wilderness. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone after a really memorable and top class experience.

Mombo Camp is situated on the northern tip of Chief's Island within the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. It is built under large shady trees and overlooks an open floodplain more often than not alive with wildlife. This area boasts enormous concentrations of plains game and large predators - lions in particular - providing what is arguably the best big game viewing in Botswana. Large concentrations of plains game occur in front of the camp and guests may view a variety of animals without even leaving the veranda. One often finds animals wandering past, right under the rooms!
