Days 1 to 4 - Sadaani National Park
Upon arrival at Dar es Salaam you will pass through customs and make your way to your flight North to the Sadaani National Park. On arrival at Sadaani you will be met by your driver / Guide and escorted the short drive to the Tent with a View Lodge, Saadani. Sadaani has the unique position of being one of the few big five game parks in Africa situated on the coast so not only can you see fantastic wildlife you can also enjoy the beach. Sadaani Game reserve is Tanzania’s only protected coastal wildlife preserve and boasts populations of Wildebeest, zebra, eland, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, lion, and the extremely rare Roosevelt's sable antelope. Activities at Sadaani range from beach and bush walks, canoeing on the Mafue river, motorized boat safaris on the Wami river and game drives in 4x4 game viewing vehicles to lying soaking up the sun on the beach.
Days 4 to 7 - Selous Game Reserve
On arrival in the Selous you will be met by your driver / Guide and escorted the short drive to the Sable Mountain Lodge. The Selous Game Reserve is the largest protected wilderness in Africa and is teeming with wildlife and birdlife. It is home to the largest populations of some of Africa's most sought after game including elephant, lion, wild dog, leopard, buffalo, hippo, crocodile and herds of plains game. Experience the this wilderness from an open 4x4 game vehicle, go on a boat safari on lake Tagalala, get closer to nature on a walking safari or experience the thrill of seeing the nocturnal animals on a night drive.
Days 7 to 11 - Zanzibar
After your morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your 11:45 flight to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam. On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met at the airport by your driver for your road transfer to the Pongwe Beach Lodge. Spend the next 4 days relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds of the Spice Island, Zanzibar. Relax on the beach or take part in one of the many activities offered by the Pongwe Beach Lodge. Go diving at one of Zanzibar’s world renowned dive sights or head on a guided tour of Zanzibar to take in the unique culture of the island. Whether you want and active holiday or just to relax, Zanzibar has something for everyone.
Day 11 - Zanzibar
After a leisurely morning you will be met by your driver at the Pongwe Beach Lodge where you be transferred to Stonetown for your last nights stay at the Zanzibar Serena Inn. Stonetown is the largest city on Zanzibar and is also a world heritage site. Take a guided tour of this exceptional city or have a wander round the market and the city on your own to get a feel for this wonderfully exotic town.
Day 12 - Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – home
After breakfast (depending on your flight times) you will be met at the Zanzibar Serena Inn by your driver who will transfer you to the airport for your return flight home.
