General

Weather in Abu Dhabi is generally cooler with occassional dense fog from November to March. The oasis city of Al-Ain, about 150 km from the capital city, regularly records the highest summer temperatures in the country, at the same time due to it's dry conditions and cool evenings it has become a favourble get away from the intense summer heat and year-round humidity of the capital city.

Climate

The climate in Abu Dhabi is known to be hot and arid with sunny blue skies. The months of June through September are generally hot and humid with maximum temperatures averaging above 35 °C (95 °F). During this time, sandstorms occur intermittently, in some cases reducing visibility to a few meters.

Rainfall

Throughout November and December, Abu Dhabi experiences most of it's rainfall. The average rainfall in the city is only 12 cm per year, rains are occasional and appear onlyfor a few minutes. Generally January and February are the months in which rainfall can be seen on the ground as the average temperature is slightly lower. Due to the climte and rainfall it is suggested that the months from December through to April are the most suitable for all types of tourist.
