Chobe Savanna Lodge, Botswana

Gregory Fox, Botswana

Chobe Savanna Lodge is beautifully situated directly opposite the Chobe National Park. Every evening while eating my dinner I was joined by a resident herd of buffalo who didn't want to miss the party! The accommodation is lovely and the largely water based activities are very exciting. The main building has the most incredible views, the bar is the perfect place to sit with a G&T and do your game viewing.

Situated in the Eastern Caprivi of Namibia, on a peninsula on the northern bank of the Chobe River, Chobe Savanna Lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park's Puku Flats. The Lodge is relaxed and informal, set in a classic African Savanna environment with sweeping vistas surrounding the lodge. The focal point of the lodge is a thatched open sided main building which features a 270 degree view over the Chobe River and beyond to the Chobe National Park. The emphasis at Chobe Savanna Lodge is on relaxation, activities are leisurely, and suburb game viewing is available from your armchair in the terrace Bar!

Botswana Review

All I really know about Botswana is the camps I stayed in and the bush apart from a brief visit to Maun which can probably best be described as a "frontier" town but it seemed to me to be clean and orderly
