Chitabe Lediba Camp

Chitabe Lediba is an intimate, private camp, located on the same island as its larger sister, Chitabe Camp. Being in the same area means it takes advantage of the diverse array of habitats that are all in close proximity - and the prolific wildlife that lives there. The area is a combination of open grassland, acacia-forest and shallow waterways. Game viewing is varied from the lush green period after the rains to the dry winter months. Buffalo, elephant, lion, warthog, lechwe, hippo, giraffe, leopard, cheetah, tsessebe are found throughout the year. Wild dogs den in June and pups could be seen in mid to late July. The plains game numbers in the area peak in the dry season.

Location

By Air: Chitabe is an approximate 20 minute flight from Maun and 1 hr 20 flight to Kasane. The camp is a 20 minute drive from the camp.

Botswana Review

Loved Botswana. Its a country that really seems to have its act together. They have made conscious decisions to maintain their environment and from our little exposure it seems that the government has been able to avoid much of the corruption and inefficiencies of many other African countries.
