Kwetsani Camp

Gregory Fox

I loved the fact that my tent was situated in the trees providing you with a breathtaking view over the floodplains. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone after a great water and land experience.

Kwetsani is one of the most remote camps in the Okavango. It is situated on an elongated island heavily wooded with palm, mangosteen and fig trees. The Camp is intimate yet luxurious, raised on wooden decks above the lush vegetation. In the central region of the concession, vast open floodplains provide some of the most stunning scenery of the region. Lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, tsessebe and red lechwe are among the major game attractions at Kwetsani, while hippo, sitatunga antelope and crocodile reside in the deeper permanent lily-filled lagoons of the area. Nocturnal animals such as porcupine, aardwolf, serval, large spotted genet and lesser bushbaby can be observed on the night drives (water levels permitting).

Location

By Air: Kwetsani is an approximately 35 minute flight from Maun and 1 hr 25 flight to Kasane. It is a 35 minute drive or boat trip from the airstrip to the camp. In high waters (usually April – September) guests are boated To/From camp (can take up to an hour).

  • Amazing & Varied Game Viewing

Botswana Review

Wonderful safari, we saw more than I ever anticipated. I'm glad it's quality and not quantity in Botswana, we only ever encountered a few other safari vehicles per day.
