Safari & Cruise

Safari & Cruise Overview

After the adrenaline and adventure of your South African Safari, we believe one of the best ways to relax is onboard the new Silversea Silver Whisper. Combining adventure with relaxation and indescribable luxury is sure to capture your mind. With this in mind we think that a Safari & Luxury cruise combination is one of the best ways to visit Africa and the Indian Ocean.

Safari

Imagine arriving in Kruger National Park, adrenaline pumping and excited about your next 3 for four days. Spend your time in stunning camps and lodges, big 5 game experiences, game drives, afternoon spa treatments, African Sun downers. Relaxing at night around the Boma whilst the sounds of the African night envelope you, sharing a drink with new friends, each eager to tell tales of their days and what they have witnessed!

Cape Town

After safari we will transfer you down to Cape Town, where this magnificent city will provide a stark contrast from your safari experience. A buzzing metropolis with the spectacular backdrop of Table Mountain this city will not disappoint. With a range of accommodation from elegant guest houses to chic 5* deluxe hotels, you will have no problems finding a new “home” for the duration of your stay. Stunning beaches, outstanding cuisine, fine wines and an incredibly colourful history will satisfy all appetites. Visitors here can take a trip to Robben Island, a walk up Table Mountain, spend the afternoon people watching at the renowned Victoria & Albert Waterfront, and experience the vibrant nightlife that Cape Town has to offer. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Institute is also worth a visit and the glorious Winelands are only a short distance from the city.

Silver Whisper

Finally after all of the excitement of Cape Town, you will board the Silver Whisper and spend 11 days on this all-suite, fully inclusive 5* ship. This ultra luxurious ship accommodates only 382 guests, thus allowing for a more intimate experience for all of their guests. All suites have 24 hour butler service and your mini bar will be refreshed with your own personal favourite beverages. Decks are broad and free flowing and interiors are open and airy, despite the small size of the ship.

Highly Personalised Travel

This highly personalised style of travel allows you to choose your own bed linen and even how firm you would like your pillows! Over 85% of the suites have a private veranda and you can enjoy your favourite cocktail whilst sailing across the Indian Ocean. Arrive in style each morning after a peaceful nights sleep at a new destination. Stop off at Richards Bay, Durban and East London in South Africa, to explore more of this intoxicating country. You will also stop in the captivating island of Madagascar, the biggest in the Indian Ocean... With wildlife and plant species abundant, there is more to Madagascar than its world famous Lemurs!

Stop off in the tiny Island of Reunion, where its capital city of St Denis will romance you with museums, alfresco dining and stunning architecture. Finally after a few days at sea, you will arrive in Mauritius. This dramatic island of Mountains and sugar cane will enthral and hypnotize. You can choose to spend the day on the beach, or become mesmerized in the culture of capital city Port Louis. Whatever you decide we are sure you will not want to leave.
