Malawi Holiday May 2010
Dear Claire,
Sorry for not contacting you sooner (much to do since we got back) but we do want to thank you for your efforts to ensure our trip to Malawi went well. It sure did ... No hitches at all (not even volcanic ash!) ... Except of course that it had to come to an end!
We had a tremendous welcome at every destination. We were well looked after and the hospitality was unmatched with anywhere we have been previously. The locals too greeted us as friends; they were all a delight to meet. Our guide, "Everlasting", with his knowledge of the various communities and cultures, history and birding, ensured that there was never a dull moment. He filled in with many interesting stop-overs and visits to museum, historic landmarks, churches, school and missions. Value added indeed.
Many friends have been fascinated by our exploits. We perhaps risk becoming a bore but some have said they would like more details and one couple have said they want to do it. We will see. If we can save enough pennies maybe we can return with them .. Dreams .... Dreams!
