The Montgomerie course has evolved into one of the Middle East’s most desirable courses to play. The course covers some 265 acres and with 14 lakes and 81 bunkers, it is designed to test all golfing abilities. There are some wonderful holes, from the thirteenth par-3 over water with 360 degree teeing area to arguably the largest green in the world, or even the par-5 eighteenth hole where you need to cross water hazards twice off a back tee that can measure 656 Yards.
The Faldo course is the second championship course at the Emirates and was originally opened in 1996 but was remodelled and renamed by Nick Faldo in 2006. Faldo’s trademark tees and bunkers have combined with the natural rugged terrain to create a unique golfing experience. The course is long but there are some great rewards for those who make it around.
