Masai Mara Safari & Beach Honeymoon - 12 Nights

This sample honeymoon combines a 6 night fly-in safari in Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the Masai Mara with a 6 night beach stay on the Kenyan coast. 3 nights will be spent at Kicheche Laikipia, a small luxurious tented camp, nestled at the foot of indigenous forest overlooking a waterhole, in the centre of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The Conservancy is home to Kenya's largest population of Black Rhino, large numbers of elephant, cheetah, lion, leopard and plentiful plains game.

A light aircraft will then fly you across the famous plains of the Masai Mara for your 3 night stay at Kicheche Mara Camp. After three days spent on action packed game drives and nights spent around a camp fire under the stars you will soon move on to the coast for your 6 night stay at either Kinondo Kwetu or Alfajiri Villas. Both offer the ultimate in bare foot luxury and are simply perfect for honeymooners.

Day 1 - 3:
On arrival into Nairobi’s International Airport you will be met and transferred to Wilson Airport where you will catch a light aircraft flight to Nanyuki Airstrip in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is 90,000 acres of wilderness and offers an incredibly uncrowded environment to enjoy quality game viewing. The Conservancy is home to Kenya's largest population of Black Rhino, large numbers of elephant, cheetah, lion, leopard and plentiful plains game. There are also a number of rarer Northern species such as Grevys Zebra, Jacksons Hartebeest and Beisa Oryx. The camp consists of 6 luxurious tents. Activities include day and night drives, lion tracking, walking and visits to the chimpanzee sanctuary
Day 4 - 6:
Today you will fly by light aircraft to the Masai Mara. The Masai Mara is the most well known reserve in Kenya setting the scene for the Great Migration usually July – October. Over 1 million wildebeest flood the reserve after travelling north from the Serengeti in Tanzania, along with large herds of other herbivores all looking for the best grazing. Closely following the herbivores are the predators, most notably lions and hyenas. The Masai Mara is a great place for watching big cats, it is where they film the BBC Big Cat Diaries, but it also has an abundance of other wildlife and birdlife to take in during your stay. There are many activities to do during your three night stay such as bush walking, Maasai village visits, picnics and sundowners as well as the usual 4x4 game drive.
Day 7 - 12:
Today you will return by light aircraft to Nairobi for lunch. Following this you will transfer to the airport for flight to Mombasa.
