Born Free Kenya Safari - 10 Nights

The following holiday is a 10 day fly in safari taking in the Meru and Shaba National Parks combined with the Masai Mara. Elsa' Kopje Camp in Meru is named after Elsa the lioness, made famous by George and Joy Adamson's biographical book and film 'Born Free'. Meru is also home to over 40 white rhino and 20 black rhino. Joy's Camp in Shaba is built on the site of Joy Adamson's tented home. The verdant oasis watering hole in front of the camp is a magnet for herds of elephant, bullafo and many guests have witnessed cheetah hunts from their tents! Both these reserves offer an opportunity to enjoy the Kenyan wilderness away from the crowds and provide an entirely different terrain from that you will experience in the Masai Mara. This dry rugged wilderness features bubbling hot springs, rolling savannas and miles of scrub and desert. The Mara is of course the pinnacle of most safaris to Kenya and a stay at Elephant Pepper Camp will ensure secluded game viewing from the camp.
