Solio Camp

Location

By air: daily scheduled flights from Nairobi into Nanyuki Airstrip (followed by a twenty minute transfer to the lodge)
By road: three hour drive from Nairobi on the Nyeri – Nyaharuru Road.

• Solio Game Ranch is recognised as the most successful private rhinoceros breeding reserve in Kenya, and is today home to over 74 Black Rhinoceros and 155 White Rhinoceros, which live in harmony with other wildlife including buffalo, zebra, giraffe and plains game such as eland, oryx, impala, waterbuck, thompson's gazelle and warthog.

Facilities

Facilities available at Solio Camp include: Wireless internet access throughout the lodge. Hot and cold water throughout the day. Hot water is powered by solar during the day, and boosted by the generator at night.

Activities

Activities available at Solio Camp include day and night game drives, morning bird walks and sundowner walks, horse riding safaris, helicopter trips and fishing trips to Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains.

Meal Basis

All inclusive including selected game activities. Champagne, special wines and luxury spirits are not included.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation

Solio Camp offers 4 individual cottages plus 1 family cottage consisting of 2 bedrooms and a shared living area, giving us a total of 6 rooms accommodating up to 12 guests, with the option for extra beds in the rooms for children. Each room has a private lounge area warmed by a corner fire and a deck for relaxing during the day.
