Loldia House, Kenya

Sarah Fox

Wow, Lolidia House is certainly something special. The views of Lake Naivasha from the main house and your room are breathtaking. I loved everything about Loldia House, the food, the service (Peter is as good as they say he is) and the accommodation. I will never forget popping out from dinner in the dining room to see a leopard on the lawn or hearing the hippos eating outside my window. This property is a real treat!

Nestling under the acacia and wild fig trees on the green western shores of Lake Naivasha, Loldia House is a great place to enjoy the beauty of Kenya. Built around a courtyard, its main archway frames a stunning view of the dormant volcano Mount Longonot. The House Manager, Peter Njoroge, has been described as "probably the world's best butler" and makes sure guests receive an attentive personal service during their stay here. With a range of different areas to explore on excursions as well as a great relaxing atmosphere at the lodge this is a great start to any trip to Kenya.

Customer Reviews of the Loldia House

Family Holiday to Kenya during July 2011

Lovely atmosphere, shame that the lake has retreated so far from house as boat trips are no longer practical but overall a lovely place.
