Lake Nakuru, located in central Kenya is one of the eight Kenyan Rift Valley lakes. Lake Nakuru is a shallow lake with white crystallised salt shores, made famous by the amazing large flocks of flamingos that nest on the shores and feed on the algae and crustaceans within the lake. Some consider Lake Nakuru home to the greatest bird spectacle on earth, with over a million flamingos covering the shallow surface of the lake. Baboon cliff is considered the best spot for this amazing bird spectacle.
Besides the flamingos, more than 400 species of birds can be seen in this National Park. Other game such as hippo, black rhino, giraffe, lion, leopard, and different species of antelope are sighted around the lake.
