Elephant Pepper Camp, Kenya

Sarah Fox

The tents at Il Moran are beautifully appointed, in particularly the hand crafted wooden beds. With only 10 tents the camp is an intimate one perfect for honeymooners and those looking to get away from it all. The food is outstanding, and as with the other Governor's Camps the service and guiding are excellent. This camp will certainly be the highlight of your safari.

Situated within the protected Koiyaki wilderness area, away from other lodges is Elephant Pepper Camp in its own piece of wilderness on the Northern edge of the Masai Mara National Park. In order to preserve this special area the camp is seasonal and is dismantled for three months of the year. The spacious canvas tents have an en suite dressing room, eco-friendly flush loos and safari showers and are comfortably furnished. Extended game drives which continue into the evening make game viewing a complete and exciting experience and your guides will really bring the stories of the Masai Mara to life. Elephant Pepper Camp brings people back to nature with no traffic and no permanent structures to spoil your view, just the sights and sounds of the African bush.

Fly into the Musiara airstrip, 45 minutes flight from Nairobi and then transfer to reach the camp. To road transfer from Nairobi takes about 6 - 7 hours.
