Kicheche Bush Camp

Location

Access is from Ol Kiombo airstrip, 40 minutes game drive away. There are scheduled flights daily from Nairobi, Mombasa, Naivasha, Samburu and Nanyuki. By road: 5½ hours drive from Nairobi.

Highlights

• The camp is located in a prime wildlife area and game viewing starts right from the camp itself. The location is also ideal to experience the wildebeest migration.
• Kicheche Bush Camp now offers escorted walking safaris with overnight stays in a fly-camp in the bush. These excursions are led by one of Kicheche's senior guides and an armed ranger. It is an outstanding opportunity to see the Mara from a completely different perspective and also offers some welcome exercise whilst on safari. You will explore the smaller aspects of savannah life - birds, grasses, and insects - and may even be lucky enough to encounter some larger game en-route.

Facilities

Facilities available at Kicheche Bush Camp are a large open sided dining tent, overlooking the plains also hosts a relaxing lounge area with a selection of reference books and a small curio shop selling mostly the work of the local Maasai staff members.

Activities

Activities available at Kicheche Bush Camp include morning and late afternoon game drives, interpretive bush walks, hot air balloon safaris, village and school visits and fly camping

Meal Basis

All inclusive including selected game activities. Champagne, special wines and luxury spirits are not included.

Child Policy

Children are accepted but adults must be aware that our camp is not fenced and no additional facilities are available to occupy them outside our normal excursions. Children aged 3 - 11 years: 50% of adult rate for accommodation and Conservancy fees.

Families with children under 7 years will be required to take a sole use vehicle unless there are 4 or more guests in the party when they will get one anyway. Please note that our camps are not conducive to infants and no baby equipment, such as cots and high chairs, are provided.

Accommodation

Kicheche Bush Camp offers 6 spacious, fully insect-proof custom designed tents. Bathrooms are en-suite and are equipped with a dresser, safari bucket shower, a flushing toilet and a washbasin with running water.
