Come on a Kenyan Safari, We've got Lions

Kenya has long been famous as one of world’s top safari and beach destinations. At one time it catered solely for the mass package tourism market but it has slowly matured and re-invented itself, now alongside the mass market tours there is something for those seeking a more personal experience.

The scenery in Kenya is stunning and varied, ranging from the snowy peaks of Mount Kenya to the Great Rift Valley lakes; Lake Nakuru, world famous for its flamingos, Lake Turkana and Lake Victoria. And, of course, one of the world’s great wilderness areas, the Masai Mara National Reserve.

For most visitors Kenya means wildlife. Charismatic animals such as elephants, cheetahs, lions and other predators are easily seen, making it an ideal destination for a first time safari. It is especially good for families and children as it is easy to see a lot of animals without having to endure long journeys.

Planning your Holiday to Kenya

Kenya’s established infrastructure makes it an easy country to travel around. The more remote areas are best accessed by light aircraft, these flights are an adventure in themselves and enable you to enjoy a fish eagle’s view of the African wilderness.

You can choose to tour and enjoy a dedicated safari holiday in several locations, or, fly straight into a reserve or national park and then on to your chosen beach resort. Please call us and we can advise the best area to match your interests.

Most visitors will start their journey in Nairobi which is only an 8 hour flight from London. There are daily connections from here to London, most European cities and regional flights across the African continent. From Nairobi there are regular scheduled flights to the popular reserves and national parks enabling you to make a 2 or 3 day visit.

For those wanting more time to enjoy Kenya’s rich wildlife heritage we recommend our Classic Kenya Circuit safari, this tour will give you a real insight into Kenyan culture with the Samburu people plus time in two of the county’s most popular wildlife areas, Lake Nakuru National Park and the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

>For a first safari we would recommend our Kenya Big 5 Safari, most visitors to these two parks will encounter the Big 5, leopard, lion, rhino, buffalo and elephant. Animals in these two parks are well used to vehicles so they are easily observed, an ideal trip for photographers.

If you’re looking for some privacy and luxury away from the crowds have a look at our Lewa Downs & Masai Mara safari. Lewa Downs will enable you to see one of Africa’s finest private conservation areas followed by a stay in one of the best camps in the Mara, Olonana.

Our Family Adventure Safari will keep everyone amused. It’s ideal for all age groups from young children to teenagers upwards. You can choose to participate in the activities as a family or the day can be tailored to suit the individual needs of the family.

If a traditional beach holiday is the focus of your trip but you want a taste of what a safari has to offer consider our Tsavo Experience safari. Whilst the game here is not as prolific as in Kenya’s more famous reserves this trip will enable you to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the African bush.
