I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at Mfangano Island Lodge. The staff were some of the friendliest and genuinely warm people I have ever encountered and the Lake is so utterly soothing and relaxing. The food too was delicious, particularly the Nile perch fish. With its cool breeze and chilled atmosphere Mfangano Island Lodge is the perfect to retreat to after a safari.

Location

Approx. 6 hour drive from Nairobi followed by boat ride to lodge. Or a 20 minute flight from Kisumu; a 35 minute flight from the Masai Mara and a 1 ½ hour flight from Nairobi. All flights are by private charter aircraft.
