Govenor’s Camp has become synonymous with a fantastic safari experience, and it’s the camp of choice for the BBC big cat diary team. Offering you 3 game drives each day gives you even more chance to experience the daily drama of life in the Masai Mara and take away even more fantastic memories. Situated in the Masai Mara National Park the camp is based in an area that was set aside for colonial governors and royal visitors back in the early days of safari. Governor’s Camp offers luxurious accommodation under canvas and a social atmosphere, being one of the larger camps in the area, and is loved by its visitors for providing a first class unforgettable safari service.

  • Game viewing while relaxing in your tent or at the bar
  • Being taken out on 3 game drives a day allowing you to make the most of the wildlife
  • Having the choice of being taken out with specialist guides who understand photography or ornithology giving you the best knowledge.
  • Viewing the wildebeest migration as it makes crossings over the Mara River
Accommodation:
24 twin tents, 12 double tents and 1 Justus Suite tent. All tents have a private veranda and en suite bathrooms with shower and hot and cold running water.
Activities:
3 game drives per day, balloon safaris, bush walks, champagne bush breakfasts, sundowners, cultural visits to Maasai villages or community projects supported by Governors and excursions to Lake Victoria can be arranged.
