Lujeri Tea Estate, Malawi


Lujeri Tea Estate is located near to the base of Mt Mulanje - an hour and a half south of Blantyre City. Lujeri is one of the oldest colonial tea estates in the area and the guest house has a swimming pool as well as fantastic walks on offer around the estate. You must also take a drive to the base of Mt Mulanje to explore around the foothills, go swimming in the rock pools and waterfalls.

Lujeri Tea Estate is approximately 2 hours drive from Blantyre.

  • There are some really great spots to swim on the Estate. This includes the Blue Lagoon, Mbiya pools, and Hydro on the Minunu path.
  • If you wish to climb the mountain you can arrange to get porters through Lujeri. Lujeri has 2 paths which take you up Minunu and Madzeka
