Royal Island Resort & Spa Hotel Rating

This is part of Villa Hotels and is the jewel in their crown. The resort has been lavishly done up, no expense spared and this does make it stand out from its natural surroundings. It will suit those who are looking for first class facilities. The beach is excellent and the island itself is situated on its own atoll giving a secluded Robinson Crusoe type feel. The snorkelling is good with access to a great house reef. It is very good value for a five star resort. On the minus side the room density is on the high side and the dining although good can feel a little institutional.

Tanzania's western shore is really as idyllic a place as any beach lover could ever wish for. The beautiful reef waters and white sandy beaches make for a truly amazing setting for those who like to sea, sand and sunshine.
