Combining Mauritius & South Africa
You can either choose to start your holiday by unwinding in Mauritius, in which case we usually recommend staying 7 to 10 days. There are direct flights from London to Mauritius on Virgin, British Airways and Air Mauritius. From here you may fly directly to Johannesburg or Cape Town to begin the South African leg of your trip. Should you wish to incorporate Cape Town, the Winelands and the Garden Route, we would recommend spending at least 7 to 10 days in South Africa. Normally people like to include a safari in South Africa, either in the Kruger Park or the Eastern Cape and give themselves 3 or 4 days to take advantage of all the exciting game viewing activities. There are direct flights back to Europe from both Johannesburg and Cape Town. Whichever country you choose to visit first, Mahlatini will book your flights into the one country and out of the other.
South Africa and Mauritius are year round weather destinations. A 'wet' season falls from December to March in Mauritius, however, this does not necessarily mean it should be avoided. Chat to one of Mahlatini's experts regarding which time of year will best suit you.

Why South Africa?
South Africa is an extremely popular holiday destination, largely because of its incredible weather and scenery but also because it offers some of the most luxurious hotels and game lodges in the world. Unlike other destinations in the world that provide simply one attraction, South Africa is an entirely diverse country offering a range of experiences, safari normally being the highlight. From a cultural and scenic trip along Cape Town and The Garden Route to an exciting getaway to a luxury Safari lodge in the Kruger Park, there is so much to choose from. You will find it difficult to spend your money with a favourable exchange rate meaning you can truly spoil yourselves on spa treatments, special meals, adventure activities and shopping sprees.
