If money is no object go straight for the villas which are out of this world. If it is, and you love the look of the LUX* Belle Mare then the entry level junior suites still offer a high degree of luxury as you would expect in a 5 star deluxe hotel. The distinguishing feature of honeymoon suites is the four poster bed.
The Junior Suites are each 60 m². Each have terraces looking out over the lush tropical gardens down to the sparkling lagoon. Red and rust-coloured tones tastefully blend with the mahogany wood panels and blinds. Each suite is equipped with a king size bed, a dressing room and spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, two wash basins, a bath and separate toilets. Butler service is available on request. Many of the Junior Suites have interconnecting suites adjoining.
The Lagoon Suites are 90 m² and offer wonderful views of the lagoon. Picture yourself watching the moon rising on the silvery sea as you relax in your bath! The suite has a spacious room with a huge bed, a bathroom with separate shower, toilet and whirlpool, as well as a large terrace with deck chairs facing the ocean and a table for breakfast at sunrise.
The Honeymoon Suites are 100 m². A four-poster bed dominates the room. The Honeymoon Suites wraps newlyweds in an exotic, colonial feeling and the voluptuous atmosphere is enhanced by the softness and charm of Brazilian rosewood flooring. The large terrace is ideal for a romantic breakfast or for a candlelit dinner.
The African Senior Suite is 100 m² with direct access to the garden. The suite is in the style of a luxury African hut and is complete with masks, grass furnishings and rustic solid wood furniture.
The Chinese Suite is a refined and richly decorated gem of a suite celebrates the Asian art-de-vivre. Close attention has been brought to every single detail, from the antique Chinese pottery to the finest quality silk decorations.
The Maharajah Suite is 240 m². This sumptuous suite indeed reflects the dream lifestyle of Maharajahs. Exquisitely crafted doors open on this magic place to reveal rich and opulent finery. Entirely decorated with furniture and accessories brought directly from India, the suite’s luxury is simply awe-inspiring. The comfortable lounge is equipped with deep sinking sofas and the private dining room adorned with rich furnishings. A large terrace opens on the beach and the tropical garden. The private rooftop solarium can be accessed from an internal staircase. A connecting Junior Suite is also available for those with a family or a couple of friends. A personal butler is at the guests’ disposal throughout their stay.
The Villas
The 12 magnificent and luxurious Villas have been designed for guests looking for refinement and privacy. There are 2 Prestige Villas (255 m²), each with two bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, suitable for a family or small group of friends, set back to afford maximum privacy. There are also 2 Beach Front Villas (180 m²), with direct beach access, as well as 8 Ocean View Villas (160 m²).
Each Villa has its own individual, heated swimming pool with large, wooden sunloungers scattered around. It also has a private garden in period style and an outdoor shower. The wooden thatched gazebo as a special feature, with a table and 4 chairs, is ideal for a romantic dinner or for a massage session. All the Villas look out towards the lagoon and are set on the edge of a sheltered bay.

Restaurants & Bars
LUX* Belle Mare offers 4 restaurants and 2 bars.
Rive Gauche is the LUX* Belle Mare’s main restaurant, open from breakfast to dinner. Its elevated thatched roof confers to the restaurant a colonial exotic elegance and it is the hotel’s true culinary intersection, offering “a la carte menu”, gala dinners and thematic evenings, celebrating the Mauritian cultural diversity through the variety of local flavours.
La Méditerranée is a terrace restaurant on the beach. It serves light meals, barbeques, salads, wood fired pizzas all to the sound of Italian, Greek, Southern French and Lebanese songs.
Indouchine is the fine dining restaurant offering a fusion of French and Asian (Indian and Chinese) cuisine. The Chef’s speciality is the delicious pan-fried foie gras and the Chocolate soufflé.
Le Langoustier. In September 2009, LUX* Belle Mare unveils Langoustier’s new culinary concept: aromatic cuisine. This emanated from a meeting two passionate professionals: Executive Chef Stéphane Jean and Philipe Lelie, an expert in essential oils. A citrus alliance accompanies camaron ‘prawns’ carpaccio, a drop of lemon dressing, fennel and celeriac julienne. Poached scallops are served with ‘Mascareigne’ flowers harmonic, citrus sauce and passion fruit salsa. This menu will never cease to surprise....
Club Savanne is a popular rendez-vous place for relaxing before or after dinner in comfortable armchairs, with an exotic cocktail or a cigar from the LUX* Belle Mare private collection.
The Monsoon Lounge & Bar is arc-shaped around the pool, and a the popular meeting place throughout the day, offering views on the hotel, its gardens and the swimming pool on one side and, on the other, on the extensive stunning lagoon. Waiters serve delightful Pina-Coladas and tropical cocktails, as well as club sandwiches and light snacks for those who want to nibble something after a swim in the pool.
Other Services
Beach Service - Cocktails, refreshing drinks and fruit treats are served all day long right under guests' beach parasols.
Room Service - Around-the-clock room service is available 7 days a week.
Private Dining - Lux* Grand Gaube offers an array of dining alternatives from romantic celebration for couples to private dinner parties for families and friends.
Evening Entertainment - Guests are entertained every evening by local artists with music and dancing under the stars.
On a Half Board meal basis breakfast and dinner are eaten at the main Rive Gauche Restaurant. If you want to eat dinner at another restaurant you are provided with a credit and the menus should indicate any supplements required.

The luxury LUX* Belle Mare Spa now offers a variety of treatments with Payot, one of the most prestigious spa brands, for the pleasure of guests who are eager to relax after an active day, in this haven of peace dedicated to physical and mental wellbeing The LUX* Belle Mare Spa is at the heart of a beautiful garden and includes sauna, hammam and hydrotherapy facilities. Treatments are subject to prior booking. The spa complex is equipped with 11 rooms, including:

LUX* Belle Mare welcomes families of all ages and children and teenagers are catered for in the kids and teens clubs. All rooms can accommodate children.

Baby bottle, toys, diapers, Special Gourmet Menu for kids: LUX* Belle Mare takes good care of babies and children.
During the months of April and September the hotel offers a free place to 1 child of teen (on Half Board). In addition to this offer in the winter months there is also an offer of Pay 7 nights and get 2 free nights (on Half Board) for children or teens.
The Kid’s Club
Kids Club (9 a.m. - 10 p.m.) - has a spacious internal room and a closed external park for outdoor activities. The qualified hostesses are there to look after and entertain the children aged from 3 to 12 years and maximize their holiday enjoyment. A babysitting service is also available on demand for a fee (to be booked 24 hours in advance). Dinner for the children is served at 6.30 p.m.
Teens Club
The Teens Club proposes, for children aged above 12 years, activities such as video games, pool billiards, table football and organisation of excursions outside the hotel. The club is opened during the school holidays period.

For most of the year LUX* Belle Mare offers a fantastic deal for honeymooners where there is a 50% discount given to the bride or 25% discount per person for same sex couples.
On arrival the couple are provided with a T-shirt, a Pareo, a fruit platter, a bottle of sparkling wine and a special gala meal for 2.
LUX* Belle Mare really do go out of their way to make the stay a memorable one and the hotel can easily arrange special dinners on the beach or by the pool.

Weddings
LUX* Belle Mare has great experience in welcoming honeymoon couples and in organising weddings in the most beautiful of tropical settings - but there can never be more than one wedding on any given day as, on your special day, the team will be looking only after you. Guests who have a specific date in mind should make sure they book early!
Traditional Weddings
Various wedding options are possible, including the extravagantly oriental Royal Indian Wedding.
As in Indian tradition, before the wedding day the bride will choose her flowers, jewellery and saris and the groom, if he wishes, a smart Indian costume. The Hindu ceremony begins in the morning with ritual ceremonies and beauty treatments in the Spa. There is tea in the afternoon in the Maharajah Suite, when the bride’s hands are decorated with Mehendi, a traditional Indian art form. The gazebo is sumptuously decorated for the wedding ceremony, presided over by a Civil Officer, followed by a blessing ceremony performed by a Hindu priest. A champagne toast follows back in the Suite, followed by dinner and a special dance routine. Pure Oriental magic! A hostess is there to help the couple at all times and to look after all the arrangements.
More traditional weddings take place either in the gazebo or on the beach itself, conducted by a Civil Officer. After aperitifs, a romantic dinner follows either in the gazebo, on the beach, on your own terrace or at a specially set table in one of the restaurants. A special champagne wedding breakfast is brought to the newly-married couple next morning in their bedroom. To make their holiday even more romantic, honeymooners and wedding couples can opt for a whole range of extras, including a horse-drawn carriage, candlelit dinners on the beach, Sega dancers and French champagne. To make the wedding day perfect, you can also add sessions in the Spa, a manicure and pedicure and a leisurely hour or two with the hairdresser.
