Our Comments and Suggestions on choosing a Room Type:
The Junior Suites are 55m². They are located on either the ground, first or second floor and are all close to the beach. They have an open plan bedroom including a lounge area and a balcony or terrace. They can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child.
The Tropical Suites are 70m². These are located on the first floor with balcony and stairs leading down to the gardens. Each has a spacious bedroom with lounge area and a large terrace. They can also accommodate 2 adults and 1 child.
The Palm Suites are 85m², located on the ground floor and provide double access to the terrace and the gardens and beach beyond. They comprise of a spacious bedroom with lounge area and large en-suite bathroom with terrace. They can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child.
The Garden Suites are 115m² and all are located on the ground floor. They offer 2 bedrooms, the second with twin beds suitable for two young children. The room occupancy is 2 adults and 2 children.
The Senior Suites are located on the ground and first floors with private stairs offering direct access to the gardens and the beach beyond. They are 103m² and can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. They host a separate lounge, spacious bathroom with walk in wardrobe and a terrace / balcony.
The Penthouse Suite is on the top floor of the hotel with magnificent views of the ocean. The living room leads onto an extensive fully furnished balcony, ideal for dining al fresco and sunbathing. The bedroom also has balcony access. The room can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child and is 122m².
The Presidential Suites are situated on the top floor and have breathtaking views from the spacious balconies over the ocean. They have two large bedrooms each with beautifully furnished en-suite bathrooms. A huge livingroom area leads onto a spacious terrace with dining and sunbathing areas with a panoramic view of the ocean. Both bedrooms have access to the terrace. The room occupancy is 2 adults and 2 children.
The Royal Suite offers the ultimate in space and luxury. The unit has two stories with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upper level features one bedroom with private hammam. The master bedroom is located on the top floor and has magnificent views of the ocean. The ground level has a large living area and office. The room has butler service, a walled private garden, a decked terrace area and a private plunge pool. The room can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults.

Restaurants & Bars
Our Comments and Suggestions on Dining at Royal Palm:
One of the real benefits of staying at the Royal Palm is that the fantastic cuisine is offered on a half-board á la carte basis allowing you the freedom to enjoy some of the islands finest cuisine (although some specialties will still be at a supplement). The superb kitchens are overseen by head chef Michel de Matteis, who is a winner of numerous awards and was previously employed at several Michelin-starred restaurants across France. A bed and breakfast option is also available for guests.

La Goelette is the hotels main restaurant with panoramic views across the bay, serving breakfast and gourmet creole and international cuisine.
Le Bar Plage is the perfect beachfront setting for lunch. All of the tables are set on wooden decking under the shade of a huge Badamier tree. The delicious menu includes light snacks and a selection of chef's salads made using local produce.
The intimate Natureaty Restaurant is located in a stunning spot at the ocean's edge. Everything about the restaurant is open plan, from the kitchen itself to two fabulous terraces for dining under the stars. Its cuisine is focused on exploring the world's cuisine and ingredients. One of the dishes served will include a healthy option with reduced calorie count.
Private Dining - Guests may also enjoy the informal elegance of private dining on their balcony or terrace. Nothing could be more enjoyable than a leisurely breakfast or romantic dinner at a table laid exclusively for you and served by a personal waiter. For small family parties there's also the option of dining at the Captain's Table.
Spa & Treatments
The beautiful spa at the Royal Palm is acknowledged as one of the finest on Mauritius and is set within the gardens. Tranquil indoor and outdoor spaces are centred around a main pool with dedicated cabins for Reiki, Thai massage and Ayurvedic treatments. The spa offers a range of Clarins beauty treatments.
Royal Palm welcomes children, however, it wouldn’t necessarily be our first choice for families. It is a formal and exclusive hotel and unless the children are familiar with this type of environment perhaps it is best for babies or teenagers. In saying that though all the rooms do take children and the kid’s club is extremely well equipped. The Kid’s Club will have your children entertained for as long as you like and babysitting services mean that you can catch up on some much needed time on your own.

Kids Club
All Beachcomber hotels have a free Bob Marlin Mini Club which welcomes children aged 3 - 12 years 7 days a week. The Royal Palm Children's Club is open from 0900 to 2300 daily.
The clubs are run by qualified professionals who provide fun, but also educational, indoor and outdoor activities to keep your little ones entertained and happy.
Every day there is a set activities programme which you can dip in and out of, if you also want to spend some family time together during the day.
Children and infants under 3 can attend the Club but must be accompanied by an adult or baby sitter.

Unlike other holiday destinations and hotels, at all of the Beachcomber hotels many of the land and water sports are free for guests - including waterskiing.

Gentle, inviting waters make Mauritius a perfect destination for water activities - water-skiing, windsurfing, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling trips, kayaks and pedal boats are complimentary for guests. A Royal Palm speed boat is available for hire - a day trip with picnic out to the nearby islands is a great day out.
Deep Sea Fishing
In season, Mauritius offers superb deep sea fishing our partner fishing charters are located just 10 minutes drive from the hotel and offer half and full day trips on fully equiped specialist fishing boats (including quality tackle and bait).

Royal Palm provides all of the ingredients for a great hotel for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. The service is top class, the rooms luxurious, the beach private and secluded, the spa the best on the island and the food superb.
Honeymoons
For most of 2010 Royal Palm is offering a 10% discount to Honeymooners as well as honeymoon gifts including a small bottle of champagne and fruits on arrival and a gift of a bag and a t-shirt. A 30 minute massage is offered to both the bride and groom and lunches are also offered complimentary during the whole of the stay.
Anniversaries
For most of 2010 Royal Palm is offering a 10% discount to those celebrating an anniversary. A copy of the Wedding Certificate will be required on check-in for validation.
Applies to every 5th years Wedding Anniversary which must be within 3 months of the arrival date at
the hotel.
All Inclusive
An all inclusive meal basis is not offered at this hotel.
