By Air: 2 hour flight from Johannesburg to Vilanculos followed by a short 15 min flight to Bazaruto Island. (Twice weekly there is also a direct flight from the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport to Vilanculos)
Highlights
- With approximately 37 km of reef suitable for diving Bazaruto is the perfect destination for divers. The reef has been compared to that of the Great Barrier Reef.
- There are some wonderful shore entry snorkelling spots, where even young children can experience the wonders of the ocean in complete safety.
