Barra Lodge is set in one of the most picturesque areas of Mozambique with spectacular views of pristine beaches and the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. The lodge is nestled amongst groves of coconut trees and the warm ocean offers safe bathing all year round. Barra Lodge caters for families with children and is geared towards fun and activities for the whole family.

  • The diving here compares with some of the best in the world and is still a relatively well-kept secret. With over 1000 species of fish as well as manta rays, whale sharks, turtles and the mythical Dugong it will surely please both beginner and advanced divers.
  • Barra also offers snorkelling and Ocean Safari Trips. The Ocean safari is a two hour trip, where you will search for anything on the surface from dolphins and whale sharks to humpback whales and pelagic fish feeding and hunting.
Accommodation:
20 family casitas. Some have sea views and all are a stone's throw from the beach. All casitas have 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Barra Lodge also offers a selection of 2 and 3 bedroom self catering cottages.
Activities:
fishing, diving & snorkelling, horse riding, quad biking, catamaran day trips, ocean safaris and sundowner cruises, water sports, Inhambane sightseeing and whale watching.
