Camp Kipwe

'Kipwe', meaning blessed in Swahili, is built creatively into the large granite boulders, facing out onto breathtaking scenery. The camp is situated in the starkly beautiful Twyfelfontein region, home to many ancient Bushman etchings. It forms a part of the ‘Visions in Africa Safari Company’ which also runs Mowani Mountain Camp and Onguma Camp n Ethosha. Camp Kipwe is an intimate one featuring only 8 rooms offering total seclusion and exclusivity.

Location

Approximately 550km from Windhoek (approximately a 5.5 hour drive). The closest airstrip is in Twyfelfontein, which is approximately 15km from the Camp.

All facilities have amazing views toward the Aba Huab riverbed. There is also a small rock pool with a 360 degrees viewpoint showing beautiful & breathtaking views. There are two attractive outdoor features.

Accommodation

Camp Kipwe offers 8 rooms which are round in shape with large outside decks. The outside, partially open bathrooms adjoining the bedrooms have boulder, cement & rock walls, and roofs of rough Mopani branches. Hot water is supplied by wood-burning 'donkey' boilers.
