Little Ongava, Namiba

Little Ongava is perched on the crest of a hill in the private Ongava Game Reserve which in turn adjoins the southern boundary of Etosha National Park. Apart from commanding magnificent vistas of the African plains, Little Ongava is arguably Namibia's most civilised and certainly most comfortable lodge. It is a perfect place from which to explore the country's premier wildlife destination.

Location

Little Ongava is approximately a 1hour 20 minute flight from Windhoek. The airstrip is located approximately 15 minutes drive from the camp

Highlights

  • Intimate and exclusive lodge, with unrivalled privacy
  • A hide at the camp waterhole provides superb photographic opportunities.
  • Large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season, whilst the summer month's sporadic rainfall produces a profusion of life.
  • A highlight at Ongava is that it is one of the few private game reserves in southern Africa where there is a chance of seeing both black and white rhino. For those who enjoy close wildlife encounters, tracking white rhino on foot with a guide is a highlight not to be missed.
