Caprivi Strip

The caprivi strip has a tropical climate with most of the rain falling in January and February. The hottest months in the Caprivi Strip are September, October and November.

Windhoek and Okonjima

The climate in Windhoek and Okonjima is described as “semi-desert”, the summers are extremely hot and the winters quite mild, with temperatures dipping at night. Average temperatures during the winter months (June to August) range from 6 – 21oC, the nights are cold but rarely drop below 0oC. The most popular time to travel is when the temperatures are milder during the day and rainfall is at its lowest (March – October).
