All Rooms are tastefully designed and most have stunning views of the glistening Gulf of Oman or the majestic Al Hajjar mountains. Open plan bathrooms, rain showers, bath robes and slippers come as standard in these beautiful rooms.

Serai Rooms are located in the Serai wing, each room is 33sqm of space furnished with a queen size bed. These rooms have mountain views.

Deluxe Rooms are slightly larger than the Serai rooms, the Chedi Deluxe rooms are located in the Chedi Wing and are 39sqm. King size beds, BOSE sound systems and comfortable seating areas complete these beautifully designed rooms.

Deluxe Club Rooms offer their guests additional privileges inclusive of the following: airport transfers, continental breakfast and drinks during cocktail hours in the esteemed club lounge. Laundry service as complimentary and mini bar and daily newspapers.

When it comes to dining options, The Chedi has an outstanding selection of restaurants to choose from.

The restaurant

This is the main restaurant onsite and located next to the lobby lounge. With stunning views of the ocean and overlooking the perfectly manicured gardens this perfect spot for indoor or alfresco dining. Serving a sumptuous menu of Mediterranean, Asian & Indian and of course Arabic cuisine, the display kitchens add to the incredible atmosphere of this stunningly appointed restaurant.

The Arabian Courtyard

Situated next to the main restaurant, the Arabian Courtyard is an authentic Arabic restaurant with a mysterious and sensuous atmosphere. Distinctive in style this restaurant has a feel of the Orient and after mouth watering dishes, round off your evening with a water pipe.

The Beach Restaurant

A beautiful restaurant situated on the beachfront overlooking the Gulf of Oman. Specialising in seafood specialities this restaurant opens only during certain months of the year, so better to check before you travel.

The Lobby Lounge

A Delightful area for pre dinner cocktails and canapés. Stunning surroundings and a superb pre dinner atmosphere.

The Chedi Poolside Cabana

Overlooking the Arabia Sea, this restaurant offers light lunches and more specialist dinner menus.

Activities

The Chedi offers a wide range of activities for all types of guest the following information describes various classes and activities that are available to guests.

Yoga (in The Studio)

Kripalu style yoga classes with a nice infusion of Kundalini, Yin, Therapeutic and Vinyasa practice. Each class begins with a short grounding or centering and gentle stretching, followed by pranayama (breath work) and asana (posture practice). Class will finish with Savasana and a guided meditation. All classes are suitable for all levels.

Aqua Aerobic (in The Long Pool)

Aqua aerobic is a form of aerobic activity that is conducted in our swimming pool and it is a type of resistance training.

The use of water in water aerobics supports the body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury. The mitigation of gravity makes water aerobics safe for individuals able to keep their heads out of water, including the elderly. Exercise in water can also prevent overheating through continuous cooling of the body. You do not have to be a strong swimmer to participate in water aerobics.

Kinesis (in The Health Club)

Kinesis stands as a new way to work out, through which it is possible to perform an infinite variety of exercises and movements, ensuring strength, stability and flexibility. Kinesis workout consists of 8 units which are organized in a zigzag form. During a 50 minute class, the guest has to alternately complete four kinesis wall exercises and four different cardio units. Whole workout is a combination of energetic kinesis movements and cardio exercises done on fitness ball, medicine ball, aerobic stepper or mat.

Tae-bo (in The Studio)

Tae Bo has been characterized as an excellent cardiovascular workout with very good distractions. Because of the movements it involves, Tae Bo is effective in toning and defining the body's musculature. It can also improve one's balance, flexibility, coordination and has cardiovascular benefits that are a result of the dance moves added to the already high-energy workout. The Tae Kwon Do aspect of Tae Bo provides self-awareness and familiarity with martial arts.

Personal training

Our Personal Trainers can provide one-on-one fitness instruction to people desiring a program tailored to their specific needs. The Trainer evaluates guest’s physical condition and keeps track of their progress. The Trainer develops programs and chooses exercising that provides the optimum results taking into account the activities the guest enjoys. An hourly fee of 25 OMR will apply.

Very hospitable country though after the energy spent in SA we never really left the hotel.
