La Digue Island Lodge, Seychelles

With pristine white sandy beaches, lush vegetation and incredible scenery, La Digue is without doubt one of the most appealing islands in the Seychelles. The Lodge sits at the Anse Reunion beach but with the islands traditional modes of transport of ox and cart or bike, the rest of the island is easily accessible. The thatched chalets of the lodge, beautifully built with Takamaka wood, are surrounded in the lush vegetation of the tropical gardens, with some having direct access to the beach. The Yellow House is a traditional colonial home with rooms decorated in an attractive elegant manner and the Plantation House has superior rooms furnished in typical colonial style. The 'Le Pecheur' Restaurant offers a wonderful traditional creole cuisine based on that days 'catch of the day'
