The Oyster Box offers 86 rooms divided into 10 room types:
Classic Garden Facing Rooms all overlook the hotel's lush and tranquil gardens for a peaceful view.
Classic Sea Facing Rooms have a balcony that overlooks Umhlanga's iconic lighthouse and the breathtaking coastline.
Luxury Sea Facing Rooms have a balcony that opens onto views of Umhlanga’s iconic lighthouse and breathtaking coastline. All rooms include a bathroom with double vanities and a spacious separate shower.
Sea Facing Cabanas are situated on the lower ground level with individual balcony terraces, offering exceptional views of the water’s edge. The rooms also host luxurious king size four poster beds.
Garden Villa Lofts are available as stand-alone accommodation, or in combination with a Superior Garden Villa. Each room is individually and superbly decorated with magnificent 4 poster king size beds and ample space for guests to feel at home.
Sea Facing Family Suites each have a master bedroom along with an additional single room or loft for the smaller members of the family.
Sea Facing Luxury Suites enjoy magnificent views of the ocean and offer the space and comfort of a luxurious bedroom with a stylishly decorated separate lounge area.
Sea Facing Deluxe Suites are located on the lower ground level with private plunge pools and terraces. There is also a separate lounge area.
Superior Garden Villas are set in the lush surroundings of the hotel gardens. Each has a private plunge pool, relaxing terrace, private lounge and bar, and an opulent bathroom. If guests wish, these villas can be converted into a 2 bed-roomed villa simply by reserving one of the Garden Villa Lofts. Average room size = 246 square meters
The Presidential Suite is split over two levels with a private lift. This Suite offers guests the joy of a grand master bedroom with its own calm, exceptionally comfortable seating area and an intimate personal study. Two lavish marble bathrooms - his and hers – offer unsurpassed sea views for luxury and tranquility beyond compare. And of course there is the magnificent private rim-flow swimming pool, a tastefully tailored private lounge, a gracious diningroom with seating for 10 guests with a private bar and a well equipped kitchen for intimate in-suite dining. And for that even greater feeling of space, the Suite offers an additional bedroom.

The Oyster Bar, overlooking the pool and the Indian ocean, is a haven in which to enjoy freshly plucked oysters from our own oysters beds, chilled Champagne and mouth-watering snacks.
