Lavender Manor, South Africa

Adam Chapman

If you are looking for something more affordable than The Marine, Lavender Manor is my favourite choice. The rooms are stunningly decorated and the views are incredible from the upper deck. Unfortunately I wasn’t there in whale season but could just imagine myself sipping a cocktail in the afternoon looking out for whales. The guest house is indeed a very short walk to the beach and the owners are so friendly and accommodating. We have had excellent reports from our clients and we will continue to recommend Lavender Manor for this reason.

Honeymoon to South Africa during September 2011

Kobus and Isabelle are the owners and this was our first time staying at a B&B and so I didnt know what to expect. In many ways it was like staying in your old aunt and uncles, who just spoil you. The linen was starched and so clean. The breakfasts were tasty. They welcomed us like old friends and helped us with maps and booking restaurants etc. There's a ''bar'' in the house and Kobus lets you help yourself and Isabelle does your washing and lights candles in your room for your return from town. So sweet such nice people, a pleasant experience. The scenery here is unreal - Misty cliffs especially. The whale watching made a life's dream possible for me. I have always wanted to do it - seeing them so close was breath-taking. THANK YOU MAHLATINI & CLAIRE!!

Holiday to South Africa during September 2010

South Africa Review

I loved it. I did not think it was so developed and so clean and there were no potholes on the roads. My conclusion is that I was very ignorant about the country. The level of developement I foundw as far superior to what I had anticipated and the quality of the food was excellent. In terms of crime...
