Hide-Away Guest House, South Africa

This is one of my favourite guest houses in Knysna. We have used it for ages and continually get excellent reports. Cecil and Colleen will show you good South African hospitality in their gorgeous house with its wonderful views of the Knysna lagoon. It is extremely well priced for what you get. It is homely yet the room are luxuriously appointed. I highly recommend Hide-Away guest house.

Family Holiday to South Africa during February 2012

As we left Stellenbosh quite late in the afternoon it was almost 10.30pm before we arrived at the Hideaway Guesthouse. It was difficult to find and the owners clearly expected us much earlier. Having said that Coleen was very helpful in pointing out things of interest in the area and the food was very good.It was about a 15 minute walk to the waterfront area from the guesthouse. Overall it was a good experience.

Holiday to South Africa during September 2011

This was a bit of a disappointment relative to the other places that we stayed. The rooms were functional rather than comfortable, tended to be cold and the breakfast wasn't comparable to the other places that we stayed in terms of choice and quality, the owners while welcoming did seem to be a little inflexible if we wanted to change the time for breakfast or our order from the day before if they weren't told well in advance.
