Lion Sands River Lodge, South Africa

Adam Chapman

This is a fantastic lodge in the Sabi Sands and one that we have used time and time again for our guests. I found the service to be incredible and the food was impeccable. I expected the rooms to be larger but they are beautifully decorated and the walkways allow for a distinct bush feel. The main areas are luxurious appointed. The selling point of this lodge is by far is location on the river and its opportunities for game viewing from the deck areas. I would have no hesitation in recommending this lodge. It is of an extremely high standard and the guiding is excellent.

Holiday to South Africa during February 2011

South Africa Review

We have been to South Africa before in February/March when it is the depths of winter in the UK. Envigorating to get away from our dismal weather and the South Africans we have met have always made us welcome. Where we have been, we have alway felt safe although we have clearly avoided the townships...
