Londolozi Varty Camp, South Africa


Varty Camp stands on the site where the Vartys first made camp in 1926 making Varty Camp the symbolic heart and soul of Londolozi. All rooms have private swimming pools framed by timber decks that overlook the riverine bush. The living spaces are raised off the ground and shaded under a cathedral of trees. The camp has a pleasingly down-to-earth quality and the emphasis on family heritage means that children always have a place at Varty Camp.

Location

Londolozi Varty Camp is a 2.5 hour drive from Kruger Mpumalanga (KMIA) and a 5 hour drive from Johannesburg. Federal Air flights operate a daily flight from Johannesburg International Airport to Londolozi Airstrip, which is a five-minute drive to the camp. There are also scheduled flights from Durban and Cape Town to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA). Private charters can be arranged.

Child Policy

Children are always welcome at Varty Camp. Regretfully children 5 years & younger cannot participate in Game Drives but may join the Londolozi Cubs Program at no cost. Children age 6 – 11 are welcome on Game Drives

Accommodation

Londolozi Varty Camp has 8 chalets and 2 superior chalets. All the chalets have a plunge pool and wooden decks, with air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms with bath and separate shower.
