Location
Periwinkle Lodge is situated in Plettenberg Bay. Approximately 45 min - 1 hour's drive from George Airport, 10 – 15 min to Knysna, approximately 5 hour's drive from Cape Town and 3 – 3 ½ hours from the Eastern Cape Game Reserves.
Highlights
- The bay is flanked by two marine nature reserves and therefore rich in food for the resident whales and dolphins. During July to September every year, Southern Right Whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean to calve. There are organised boat trips all year round to see Brydes whales and dolphins. Huge schools of dolphin surfing the breakers or leaping clear of the blue sea are a regular sight throughout the year.
- For golfing enthusiasts Plettenberg Bay offers 2 superb courses and the lodge is in close proximity to Knysna and George, both towns offering world class courses.
- Periwinkle Lodge is across the road from Robberg Beach, which is a swimming beach.
- Periwinkle Lodge is linked to another guest house within a very short distance, Starfish Lodge. This would suit a large group of family or friends who could make use of both houses.

Periwinkle has direct access to Robberg Beach, perfectly situated for leisurely walks or lazy days spent on the beach. Activities on offer nearby include: scuba diving, golf, abseiling, horse riding, walking trails, whale and dolphin cruises, hiking trails, bungee jumping, Robberg Nature Reserve, Monkeyland and many more activities on offer in nearby Knysna and Tsitsikamma.

Periwinkle Lodge offers 7 rooms in total, 6 of which have private balconies where guests can enjoy the panoramic view from the Robberg Peninsula to the right and the Tsitsikamma Mountains to the left. All rooms are en-suite and have TV's, direct dial telephones, personalised linen, heated towel rails, tea coffee facilities and bar fridges. All of the rooms have sea views.
