Ivory Tree Game Lodge is situated in the north eastern region of the Pilanesberg National Park, the closest point of entry is through Bakgatla Gate. It offers a more private Pilanesberg game experience as the northern region receives far lower visitor numbers, yet is still completely accessible to guests. Each of the 60 luxurious suites feature an outdoor shower, air-conditioning, full en-suite facilities as well as private television channels and are beautifully decorated to compliment the surroundings. Ivory Tree Game Lodge is completely child-friendly and suites are spacious enough to accommodate a child sharing with parents.

Activities

Game drives, hot air ballooning, elephant back rides and golf at the nearby Sun City complex. Guests can also participate in conservation programmes. Special interest safaris can also be arranged such as bird drives, botany drives, astronomy and mythology drives and frog identification.

Meal Basis

Full board accommodation including all meals, twice daily game drives and tea /coffee.

Child Policy

Children are welcome at Ivory Tree, however children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives and children between the age of 6 and 12 years of age are permitted on game drives at the discretion of the guide. In the event that children are denied a regular safari and subject to availability the lodge will offer a kiddies bush bumble, this is a shortened safari concentrating on the little things in the bush and avoiding deliberate encounters with the big 5.

Accommodation

Ivory Tree Game Lodge offers 57 standard suites and 3 executive suites. All suites are air conditioned and have full en-suite facilities including outside showers.

South Africa Review

Only here 24 hours but the tour of Jo'burg was interesting and the Apartheid museum was definitely worth seeing.
