Mount Meru Game Lodge

Sarah Fox, Tanzania

Really enjoyed the rescue sanctuary situated in front of the lodge that looks after eland, zebra, ostrich and other animals. You can watch them from your room or dining out on the lawns. They also have Colobus monkeys hanging around in the trees as well as other species. A fun start or end to any animal lover’s safari experience in Tanzania.

Nestled between the peaks of Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary was created in 1959 to provide intimate accommodation to discerning lovers of both wildlife and nature. The lodge is located within 33 acres of mature, well manicured gardens bounded on one side by the tranquil waters of the Usa River and on the other by the Animal Sanctuary.
