Liked the cosy village feel to this hotel and the lush gardens with fun giraffe inspired furniture on the lawns. The hotel is a pleasant retreat in Arusha, offering some different activities for guests like canoeing on the lake, if you have a little longer to spend here. The food and breakfasts were good and it makes a good stop for all kinds of travellers.

Nestling in the heart of a coffee plantation on the shores of Lake Duluti, near to Arusha, the gateway town of Tanzania's spectacular national parks, Mountain Village - Arusha is the perfect place to relax before or after experiencing the adventure of a safari. Mountain Village will give guests a true experience of a coffee plantation and is designed as an African village. It is renowned for its collection of spectacular bougainvillaea. Accommodation is housed in banana stem thatched huts, grouped in semi-circles around tropical shade trees. All guest rooms have private balconies that boast magnificent views of the mighty snow-capped Kilimanjaro on one side and Lake Duluti and the rugged peaks of Mount Meru on the other. The main building is designed as a country manor house with a colonial theme to it.

Activities

Lake shore walks to see the Colobus monkeys, forest antelope and the abundant bush life. Excursions can be made to Mount Meru, mountain climbing of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro and trips to the markets of Arusha. You can also go mountain biking or jogging around the lake or canoeing on the lake. There are also an imaginative range of lakeside sundowners, private picnics, and specialist cultural entertainments to choose from.

Tanzania Review

Only stayed in Zanzibar. Great atmosphere, very friendly people, beautiful scenery, idealic beaches. Couldn't praise it more.
