Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge

Sarah Fox

When I visited Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge it was under construction and I did not get to see any of the rooms. I did get to see the incredible deck area with its famous view and I must admit the lodge does have an enviable setting. I did stay at two other of the Wildlife Lodges in the chain and I have to say that they don't compare favourably with the Serena and Sopa chains. I was surprised to hear recently that the chain has increased their prices to more than those of the Sopas, which I think is ridiculous! If the Wildlife Lodges were to keep their prices reasonable then I would be happy to sell them as cheap and cheerful lodges for those needing to travel on a budget but I certainly wouldn't choose these over a Sopa or a Serena Lodge.
