Lobo Wildlife Lodge

Sarah Fox

Best location in Lobo, with stunning views as you find in all the Wildlife Lodges. From the bridge over the swimming pool you can see forever out across the plains and we happily watched the migration passing by below us. The lodge is a more basic option but its location makes it a great stop in this area.

Lobo Wildlife Lodge is located in the northern Lobo area of the Serengeti National Park. In a remote location the lodge is strategically hidden inside an enormous volcanic rocky outcrop. It is the biggest Lodge on the migration route. You can watch and witness the migration or other wildlife while lying by the pool. Artistically made of wood and glass elements around clusters of large boulders, harmoniously merging with its surroundings, the Lodge affords from its raised location stunning views of the most amazing natural spectacle to be seen on Earth. A waterhole below the Lodge attracts a variety of wild visitors during the day and is lit each evening revealing an interesting array of nocturnal animals, providing a close encounter with the very authentic wildlife.

Location

Lobo Wildlife Lodge is 10 minutes drive from the landing airstrip, approximately 3 hours drive from the Ngorongoro Crater and approximately 9 hours' drive from Arusha.
