Location
Ndutu airstrip (all weather, since April 2008) is 1 Km away from the lodge. Approximate flying time from Arusha Airport to Ndutu is 50 minutes. Drive time from Arusha is approximately 6 hours and from the central Serengeti approximately 2 hours. Other airstrips in the vicinity are Seronera and Manyara.
Highlights
- From Dec to May this lodge is THE place to be when the wildebeest migration moves through the area.
- The animals calve on the plains in February and gallop through the woodlands. They even swim across the lake. (For this reason for the months of Jan and Feb the lodge is normally booked two years in advance!)
- Observing wildlife close up and personal around the lodge Marvelling at the variety of birds, the lodge has 400 species in the vicinity.
