Day 1 & 2:
On arrival early morning at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by your driver guide who will escort you to your 4x4 vehicle to begin your safari. From Kilimanjaro you will take the scenic drive south to the Tarangire National Park. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge recovering from your flight and the excitement of the wedding.
The following day you will enter the park for your full day's game drive with picnic lunch. The Tarangire offers wide panoramas of open acacia woodland and grass savannah dotted with massive baobab trees. You can expect to see huge herds of elephants and other residents, such as lion, leopard, lesser kudu and giraffe.
Day 3:
After an early breakfast you driver will drive you to the nearby Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Crater. Here you will explore the fantastic wildlife of this unique ecosystem. Your permit is for six hours of game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater itself after which you will head back to the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge an afternoon and evening relaxing.
Day 4 - 6:
After breakfast, you will head toward the Serengeti National Park via the Malanja depression, stopping en route to visit the famous Olduvai Gorge (world-famous hominid fossil site) where you will have your picnic lunch. From there you will enter the Serengeti National Park and enjoy the fantastic game viewing as you drive up to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti and your luxury tented camp Mbalageti.
The following two days you will spend exploring the famous Serengeti. Situated in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park, Mbalageti is well placed close to the Grumeti River to witness one of the greatest wildlife spectacles the region has to offer when wildebeest migration crosses the Grumeti River. The Western corridor has an abundance of game so even outside of the migration it is well worth a visit. Take a picnic lunch and spend the whole day in search of the big five and the other game that make this region famous or go back to your lodge for hot lunch and then out again in the cool of the afternoon.
Day 7 - 13:
After an early breakfast you will head to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar (via Arusha). On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Breezes Resort. Spend the next 6 days relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds of the Spice Island, Zanzibar. Relax on the beach, take part in one of the many activities offered by the Resort, go diving at one of Zanzibar's world renowned dive sights or head on a guided tour of Zanzibar to take in the unique culture of the island. Whether you want an active holiday or just to relax, Zanzibar has something for everybody.
Day 14:
After breakfast (depending on your flight times) you will be met at the hotel by your driver who will transfer you to the airport for your return flight home.
