Sable Mountain Lodge is a small and intimate camp with emphasis placed on a true wilderness experience combined with warm hospitality. Eight stone cottages and five luxurious appointed tented bandas are spaciously situated over the Beho Beho hillside. Each contains wonderful views from a private verandah over the forest towards the distant Uluguru Mountains.

  • Regular evening guests to the camp including elephants, buffalo, and zebra and in the months of November and December the rare sable antelope emerge from the hills seeking water.
  • Stopping for lunch at one of the many dry sand river beds and watching from the bank whilst elephants dig for water just feet away - a truly thrilling experience.
  • Venturing out on foot, looking closer at the bird life and vegetation as well as experiencing the thrill of following big game and predators on foot.
Accommodation:
8 stone cottages, 5 tented bandas including 2 honeymoon suites. All the rooms have mosquito nets over the beds, 24-hour electricity, and an en-suite bathroom, with a hot shower and toilet.
